WitchCast needs Volunteers!

WitchCast is looking for volunteers!
A list of what we're looking for is listed below. If you are interested, please contact us at Volunteers@WitchCast.com and let us know what skills you can bring to the team, what you are looking to do, and a little about yourself. Please don't forget your location!
Please remember these are volunteer positions. If WitchCast ever grows enough to offer paid positions, volunteers get first dibs on all paid positions.

Music Scout - A music scout will search for new music to play on WitchCast. Preferably, they would also get in touch with the artists and/or copyright holders on behalf of WitchCast to obtain permission to play the tracks. The more scouts we have, the better.
This can be done "as available"... meaning you do the work when you're available to do it.

Radio Voices - a radio voice simply speaks on the air when we need them to. Station IDs, announcements, etc. Currently, we don't broadcast live, so recordings can be sent from just about anywhere. We would send you scripts to read. Some will be verbatim, most will be in whatever appropriate words you choose.

Co-playlist editor - I could use somebody to help me keep the playlists up to date. Knowledge of converting bit-rates, ripping CDs, and using FTP is a must. Honesty and trustworthiness is absolutely necessary. This volunteer position is only available in CT.

Web Editor - The WitchCast site could use a remake. If you have ADVANCED web building skills, and would like to help WitchCast, we could use you! Any pages or art you create may be used as your college projects (please just let us know!), and we would be more than happy to give a reference when you go looking for paid employment.

Assistant - I need somebody who can help me decide what goes on air, go through papers, file permission letters, and anything else WitchCast might need. I do most of this stuff, but sometimes I'm not available to. This volunteer position is only available in CT.

Reporter - WitchCast is strongly considering running news on Pagan events and issues. If you do freelance, you'd just send us a recording. If you're part of the team, you'll have to identify yourself as being part of WitchCast. We are mostly in need of people in the US, but Pagan events happen world wide and we broadcast world wide. You must speak english, as we broadcast in english.

We are also looking for radio show ideas and people to host them. If you take on such a project, please be sure you can stick to your schedule.

Linux

Our switch to Linux seems to be going fairly smoothly. I've discovered I can mount the station's FTP account as a drive, run the extraction software right in to it. Simple explanation... Stick a CD in, click extract, job's done! That was a long drawn out process in Windows every time. Now, it's a long drawn out process ONCE, just to set it and that's it.
We have also unlocked the full 64 bit power of our processor.
If there are any Linux programmers out there who'd like to contribute to the cause, we would love some custom written software!

If we don't get new episodes of Pagan Politics by October 1st, we will be forced to cancel their time slot. Sorry, but it's been WAY too long already.
That being said, we are accepting proposals for new shows. We'd like out listeners to participate, on stream and off!
Got an idea, something you'd like to share. Contact us at Content@WitchCast.com
Please do NOT send audio files to this address, they will not be accepted.
