Just an update regarding the station

If you haven't noticed, getting music and show episodes uploaded to the stream has been.... well not happening as timely as we'd like. If you are wondering why, we've had to resort to using "work-around" software, involving 5 or 6 steps to do things that should be done in 2.
We are waiting for Ubuntu 8.10, so we can have all our good software back. A driver issue occurred when I had to move Ubuntu to a RAID card due to my day-job. That driver issue will be resolved in the new release. I also plan on upgrading the computer system shortly after Ubuntu 8.10 is released. 8.10's scheduled release date just happens to be Samhain this year! Coincidence? Maybe.

We would REALLY like to hear from our listeners, something we can play on the stream.
Please, call in, leave a message, and we'll play it. A quote, a joke, a message, an incantation, a shout-out, what-ever you like. Just please, keep it clean... or at least "cryptic", some children do listen to WitchCast.

Calling all pagan oriented advertisers

WitchCast is looking to the future. To expand, we would like to know what kind of advertising revenue there might be available to tap in to. If you think you've got something to offer the pagan community, please contact us at adverts@witchcast.com

Listeners, don't worry! We aren't looking to bombard you with advertising.
Quite the contrary. If WitchCast can become self sufficient, and reach pro status, we will be freed from Live365's advertising. We will gain control of what is advertised and when. We will aso reap the rewards of advertisements, unlike now where all the money goes straight to Live365. With this control, we would strive to run the fewest ads while keeping the stream on!
